K3 ADDED SAGE, AX STAFF Featured

Tom Milne, K3 Business Technology GroupBritish Retail specialist K-3 Business Technology Group recruited both Sage sales personnel worked to deal with the tight market for people trained in Dynamics over the last year. The company noted its efforts in those areas in its report of financial results for the year ended June 30. It had good results on its three major product fronts. The company, Sage's X3 Partner of the Year, closed 12 deals for the X3 Enterprise-level software worth almost $3 million. Because the AX employment market is tight, hiring and training people with those skills increased costs.

However, K3 also was training AX staff and established "near-shore locations will help to mitigate this," wrote chairman Tom Milne. He said K3 plans to continue international expansion in 2015, having signed global systems integrators in the prior year. Revenue for the most recently ended year hit about $115.6 million, up 13 percent over the prior year.  Its net profit for of about $4.1 million 2014 was more than double the prior year. The Microsoft UK division had revenue of roughly $40.6 million, up 34 percent from the prior year, with an operating profit of about $1 million, a sharp rebound from last year's loss. Dynamics sales in the Netherlands are part of the results of the International division and total Microsoft sales were around $60.7 million, a rise of 19 percent. Revenue for the Sage and Syspro division reached about $41.8 million, a rise of 2.5 percent. The sole Syspro reseller for Europe, K3's software and service revenue for that product was about $11.8 million, an increase of 5.6 percent.
