As of mid-month, the company had already certified eight resellers. Robert Lane, owner of Copley Consulting Group, based in East Greenwich, R.I., says having his firm certified for medical devices, "opens up a national market to us." Copley carries the Syteline manufacturing package. The company also receives "the vast majority of leads" in the medical device market that have been collected by Infor, another part of the program. Specialists are also given a micro-vertical designation on the Infor Partner Finder, and participate in co-marketing with Infor. Currently, there are no changes in margins for this program which is detailed at www.infor.com/partners/micro-vertical-specialization/.#sthash.bSwqaqv1.dpuf

INFOR FINALIZES VERTICAL EFFORT Featured
Infor has rolled out a micro-vertical program for its resellers that it had tested in the market. The company is signing up members of its network who wish to specialize. "We are looking at 20 to 24 verticals," says Michael Carrillo, the channel’s enablement director. Carrillo says so far, none of its VARs have applied to participate in the program in the same market. Infor is recognizing approved participants as microvertical specialized and they receive logos that can be utilized in marketing.
