SAGE BEEFS UP CHANNEL STAFF

Sage North America continued hiring to grow its channel management as it picked up three veterans, and only two from the Great Plains Alumni Association. The other, Mike Wingrove, now senior director of sales for midmarket products in Canada, was in channel organizations in SAP and Epicor.

Wingrove was most recently director of alliance and business development for Camilion Solutions. Joe Carroll, now senior director of channel marketing for SBS, most recently worked at Sage ISV Valogix. He started his career at Great Plains in 1988 and joined Microsoft in 2001, holding positions in partner development and management at both and also spent four years with SAP. Finally, Brent Pieterick, the new senior director of channel distribution optimization for SBS, was VP of sales for Tectura, the largest Microsoft Dynamics reseller. He began his career in 1987 with Great Plains and then was with Timberline and Microsoft in reseller sales. The company also promoted Rob Johnson, who had been working with channel development and management for the last five years, to the position of senior director of partner programs and readiness. He was previously VP of sales for Sage's Construction and Real Estate unit.
