BLACKBAUD REVS OFF OFFSHORE Featured

Blackbaud's revenue from international operations sank by 10.8 percent for the year ended December 31. The breakout for numbers of sales outside of the United States came as the company detailed its new reporting segments with the filing of the nonprofit software company's annual report with the SEC this week. The International Business Unit had slightly less than $42 million in revenue for 2105, down from $47.1 million in 2014.

Blackbaud said the decline stemmed primarily from a drop in license sales of Raiser's Edge, which also caused consulting service and maintenance revenue for the unit to fall. Charleston, S.C.-based Blackbaud expects a continuing decline in the near future as customers move to its cloud-based Raiser's Edge NXT. The sale of a small subsidiary and the change in the value of the dollar also hurt results. The biggest segment, the General Markets Business Unit, reported $313.9 million in revenue last year, up 16 percent from $270.1 million the prior year. The Enterprise Customer Unit reported $279.9 million in revenue for 2015, up 14.2 percent from $245.1 million in 2014. Overall, revenue hit $637.9 million, up from $564.4 million the prior year.
