After an initial "Hold the date", I held the date. In the meantime, there's new people in PR and they don't appear to be in need of actually talking with the press or trying to learn something about the market. Unfortunately, that marks them as no worse than the average PR people. So today, after being told to wait for information, I got this response: "As Sage Summit is now a global event some of the media slots went to international press, making our invite list for North America smaller this year. We gave priority to those who attended last year so our North American media list is already full." The person who wrote this is leaving but helpfully volunteered, "I can let the team know you are interested for next year." All I can say is no wonder I see my Sage reselling friends at Acumatica, Intacct and NetSuite shows and I'll have more time to attend those since I won't be attending Summit anymore.

SHUT OUT OF SUMMIT Featured
Last year, I did not attend Sage's Summit conference because the company refused to provide any worthwhile information to the press. All we got were glowing promotions of the celebrities—nothing about product, strategy or promises of chances to meet with execs. And I was told we could not attend the reseller sessions. This year, I was trying to get information and so far it had been the same dreary tune.
