SAGE INTROING PARTNER PROGRAM Featured

sageSage plans to introduce a worldwide partner program Monday at its Summit conference in Chicago. The company will lay out the design as part of its Partner Day on Monday. It seems to me I wrote a news item like this earlier and Sage pulled back from the announcement. Sage's preview this time says the program will launch in North America "in the latter part of 2017."

You may remember that I refused to attend last year's Summit after being told the press would not be allowed to attend reseller events. This year, I was told since I didn't attend last year's event I conference there's no space for me this, partly because I said the show was useless, which it is if you can't cover the subjects of interest to your market. In October, I wrote that Sage was creating a Global Partner Program for Sage One, Live, Impact and X3 and for all ISVs. I am assuming this extends the program to the mid-market products. I also wrote about the updated margins at the time. Of course, last year, the channel was led by the highly regarded, but short-tenured Rich Spring. After that, the people running the channel program apparently saw their shadows and have been waiting in a tunnel for spring.
