FINANCIALFORCE NAMES CEO Featured

Tod Nielsen, FinancialForce FinancialForce has named Tod Nielsen, former EVP of platform at Salesforce, as CEO. He replaces founder Jeremy Roche, who will serve as a special advisor to management. Meanwhile, the company said it is nearing a $100-million runrate and is experiencing revenue growth of more than 40 percent. FinancialForce said the next target is $1 billion in revenue.

The Salesforce stint was not too long as from June 2013 through June 2016, Nielsen was CEO of Heroku. He was co-president of VMWare from January 2009 through March 2013. Roche founded Salesforce in October 2009 as a spinoff from Unit4. That software company was majority owner with Salesforce as a minority investor. My recollection is $100 million in annual revenue is one of the key metrics for going public.
