EDGEWATER FIRES RANZAL-KNOWLES Featured

Robin Randal-Knowles, Edgewater Technology Edgewater Technology has fired Robin Ranzal-Knowles, head of the company's Oracle consulting business. The termination occurred on August 23, but slipped my examination of 8-Ks. The LinkedIn profile of Chris Churchill, a VP of Edgewater Ranzal, shows he is acting president of the group.

It represents a continuation of the removal of executives since Ancora Advisors won control of the board in February. The company paid Randal-Knowles 12-months' base salary, $425,000, plus what was described as an additional consideration of $250,000; a bonus equal to half of the prior year's bonus, $85,711,000, along with accelerated vesting of 8,333 non-qualified stock options and 4,167 restricted stock awards. The equities are worth about $71,000 at recent prices. Ranzal-Knowles founded Ranzal & Associates in 1996, and became SVP of Edgewater Ranzal after her company was purchased in October 2004. The company earlier this year fired CEO Shirley Singleton and chief technology officer, David Clancy. The last proxy material showed the three departed executives received $1,250,000 in salary in 2016. Ancora called Singleton and Clancy "dead weight" and said the company's operating units, Ranzal and the Dynamics reselling business, Edgewater Fullscope, operated without much interaction with corporate.
