VERTEX HIRES CHIEF TAX OFFICER Featured

Mike Bernard, VertexMicrosoft veteran Mike Bernard has been named chief tax officer at Vertex. He will take over the job from Peggi Rockefeller, who is retiring after working with the company since 2012.

Bernard will work alongside Rockefeller for three months. He worked at Microsoft for 28 years. An executive-level tax attorney, Bernard joined Microsoft in April 1990. Bernard served as U.S. tax counsel for the software company where he handled federal income tax audits, appeals and litigation.
