NETSUITE HAIRBALLS ON PARADE? NOT!
There’s a profound sense of disappointment that after a promising press release issued on March 25, NetSuite has yet to publish the names of the winners of its first-annual Hairball Awards. Thirty companies were nominated for the honor, named for their ability to untangle the hairball of code in corporations, and the winners were to be announced at last week’s SuiteCloud conference in California.
But, alas, no press release has been issued and the company instead detailed items such as the introduction of SuiteCloud 2.0 development platform for building cloud applications and SuiteStorage, described as “a connector built using NetSuite's SuiteCloud development platform to enable easy integration of NetSuite with Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3).” And I would certainly expect that these awards provided opportunity for one of the most interesting trophy designs in the last 50 years, The Golden Hairball. I guess there are saving the announcements for that grand gala, The Hair Ball. Last week I also requested the names of channel awards winners, but these have not yet appeared either.
