Sam Allert, Reckon Reckon is getting new leadership, including a new chairman and new CEO. The press release for the moves this week by the Australia-based software company does not say it. But it comes on the heels of the collapse of Reckon’s plan to sell its Accountant Practice Management operations to MYOB.

MYOB exercised its right to cancel the deal on May 31 after regulatory approval drug on. Ian Ferrer resigned after serving as chairman since July 2015 and as a director from August 2004. He will be replaced by deputy chairman, Greg Wilkinson. Philip Hayman, who co-founded Reckon in 1987 along with Wilkinson, was named to the board. Clive Rabie, who has been CEO since 2006, will become managing director on July 1. Sam Allert, who was running Reckon's Australia and New Zealand operations, will become CEO.
