INTUIT SPORTS FRESH EXEC TEAM Featured

Greg Johnson, IntuitWhen Sasan Goodarzi becomes CEO of Intuit he will preside over a team which has many new members. Outgoing CEO Brad Smith recently addressed a question from an analyst who noted some investors are “a little unsettled” by the changes.

Smith said Intuit rotates leaders though the company and there has been a multi-year succession process. “We run this company as a team,” Smith said. That includes EVPs who lead two major divisions. One is Greg Johnson, who joined Intuit in 2016 as SVP of marketing for the Consumer Tax Group. This month, he became EVP and GM that group, a job Goodarzi gave up in 2016 when he swapped positions with EVP Dan Wernikoff. The latter became a strategic advisor to Smith this month. Alex Chriss, SVP and chief product and platform officer for the Small Business and Self-Employed Group, takes over that group from Goodarzi. Relative newcomers are Michelle Clatterbuck, who joined the company as CFO in February and Diego Rodriguez, who became chief product and design officer in November. Other executives in new roles have significant tenures at the software company. Al Ko, with the company since February 2006, became chief transformation officer in August 2017. Mark Notarainni, became chief customer success officer in September 2017, has been with Intuit since February 2009. Tayloe Stansbury is leaving the job of chief technology officer he has held for nine years. In January, he will be succeeded by Marianna Tessel, SVP for the Small Business Group.
