QUICKBOOKS ONLINE MOVING UP STREAM Featured

Ariege Mishergi, IntuitIntuit is moving upmarket with its QuickBooks Online. In the fourth quarter earnings webcast last month, CEO Brad Smith noted the move upstream, promising more details this fall.

“We are expanding in to what we used to call the mid-market and enterprise space with QuickBooks Online Advanced,” he said in answer to an analyst’s question. Smith noted QBO is expanding in all markets. A limited release of Advanced, which is a step up from QBO Plus, was made in August, supporting 25 users. The company termed the products as having been made available to “a small group of QuickBooks Online” users, according to post by Ariege Mishergi, who took over last month as leader of the accountant segment last month.  She wrote the product is not yet available wholesale, adding, “We will keep you posted on our plans for a wholesale discount as they develop.” Smith’s description seems to leave QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions limited to the desktop and hosting environments discussed on the company’s site.
