MICROSOFT OFFERS THREE USERS FOR ONE DOLLAR
The headline on Microsoft's Dynamics Finance Community page sounded very interesting: "Have you outgrown Microsoft Office Accounting?" That offered those moving to Dynamics GP 2010 the opportunity to buy three users for one dollar. Of course, if there had been enough Office Accounting customers to make this worthwhile, Office Accounting would still be on the market.
Linking to the offer indicates that it applies to those who haven't owned a Dynamics product previously, not just the paltry few OA users. The discount offer applies to the foundation pack user and two additional users. However, purchasers must pay full-freight by signing up for a three-year Business Ready Enhancement Plan with first-year maintenance paid at time of purchase and the rest on the renewal dates. Those fees are calculated on list price with any volume discounts applying so it's not quite as cheap as it could be. It doesn't apply to any other Microsoft products and users can't switch to other Dynamics products within two years. The deal expires June 25.
