The introduction for the user market focused most on how much time the new version saved users, including a simplified installation and a general improvement to performance. For accountants, the focus was on reducing the time they spend correcting their clients' mistakes by flagging common errors. By the way, in our recent review of QBES over at www.progressiveaccountant.com, the reviewer mentioned that QBES has been adopted by 70,000 companies. Those numbers, it turns out, are on the product's Web site. That's quite a difference from the 37,000 active users reported on the fact sheet accompanying the recently released 10-K for the year ended July 31.

QB 2010 INTOD; QUIET ON QBES
Intuit has made its annual roll out of QuickBooks with QB 2010 hitting the market this week. There was no mention of QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions, although it seems likely any news on that product will be delivered next week at the company's reseller gathering in Chicago.
