ACCLIVITY HANDS OUT AWARDS

Acclivity, which markets the MYOB product portfolio in the United States and Canada, announced its top partners at the company's 14th annual conference, held in Morristown, N.J.  last month. The company named JoAnn Ortiz of Hollywood, Calif.-based Fly Dragon Consulting as 2009 Partner of the Year.

Peggi Sturm of California was named Sales Partner of the Year, while Sue McLaughlin of Virginia was Rookie of the Year. Checkout Partner of the Year went to Jonathan White of the United Kingdom. A Special Recognition award was given to Dick Hope of Saskatchewan, Canada, for leadership, in helping re-introduce AccountEdge in Canada. MYOB withdrew its products from Canada several years ago. Acclivity was formed after managers purchased MYOB US and its development team from the Australian-based MYOB Ltd. a year ago. The company markets both Macintosh and PC versions of its financial products, although it is better known for the Mac systems.
