EXACT REVAMPS CHANNEL PROGRAM

exactExact, which has seen a lot of its resellers adding other lines, has put together a new channel program. Labeled the NexGen program, it is supposed to provide "the communication and strong support platform each partner needs to thrive selling and supporting Exact solutions," according to the official announcement. It was also designed to expand the product portfolio for new and existing resellers.
Since the focus of the channel had been largely on the Macola ES and Progression line, the notice that the company is pushing Exact Globe, Synergy and Max via resellers is probably the most important part of this announcement. Exact, formerly called Exact Software, did a good job of reducing its channel over the last few years by buying many of the best performers and encouraging others to work together through the imposition of heavy authorization fees. There are 30 organizations listed on the company's preferred partner page. Other than mentioning sales support, along with the ability to get two free passes for the company's Exact Engage user conference this month, the press release wasn't terribly detailed about what's new and what the new terms are; well I couldn’t find them on the Exact Americas Web site. I am waiting for a response to an email inquiry sent to Exact's inside PR person, department, suggestion box, whatever.
