SAP BUILDS BBD CHANNEL

A Google search of SAP’s Business ByDesign produced one report in the fall of 2007 that showed that the first 12 resellers had been recruited. Well, nearly two-and-a-half years later, with SAP ready to finally get BBD to office, it is starting to sign up resellers. To date, VARs that are displaying their new status include Skyytek, once NetSuite’s largest reseller, Clients First Business Solutions, which sells Sage and Dynamics products in several regions, and Navigator Business Solutions, which has been one of the top dealers for SAP’s Business One.
Vision 33, an Irvine, Calif.-based dealer that has been consolidating western SAP Business One dealers, is promoting a BBD Webinar, but the site doesn’t actually list the new product as among its offerings. I’d say given the reach of Skyytek in the U.S. and internationally and Clients First and Vision 33 in the U.S. that’s a good start in reaching a broad geography of users. Web site informs users it expects to be selling the new system, BBD v. 2.5, by August 1. The SAP product is priced at $149 per month per user and part of the Skyytek pitch is that there are no base licenses support or additional modules to pay for. The redesigned Skyytek site is also promoting Salesorder.com, a Web-based product that products CRM, order management and accounting functions for companies with 1 to 50 employees. It’s not surprising Skyytek is promoting this since its owner, Ray Tetlow, is also an owner of Salesorder.com.
