OSAS INTROS CHANNEL PROGRAM

Open Systems has introduced a new channel program, the first time in a long time that I remember the company putting together anything that sounds this comprehensive.  Sounds is the key word because other than issuing a press release, the Minneapolis-based company isn’t offering much elaboration. It moved into Latin America this year without issuing a release or apparently contacting any American media.
The press release says the company is recruiting on a global basis, but there’s no significant elaboration in the statement or on the website. The company also promoted Linda Shillingburg to the position of VP of channel development. She joined Open Systems in 2004 after working with the Sage Mip program for five years when MIP was an independent company and for nine years five months under Best Software/Sage. I’d get more detail, but over the last year the three or more inquiries I’ve made with the company about getting an interview have gone nowhere, except for a strange explanation that a bunch of press releases that hadn’t seen the light of day in the last year were finally posted.
