News and Analysis
Online vendor Acumatica named two new resellers this week. And while competitor Intacct continues to name VARs that it says are leaders in the industry, I’d have to give the edge to Acumatica for picking up quality dealers. This week, the Rockville, Md.-based company said it had signed Madison, Wis.-based SVA Consulting and NexVue information Systems, based in Stamford, Conn. NexVue was founded by Dan Schwartz and Schwartz one year was one of two American Dynamics resellers invited to a worldwide confab in Barcelona of top VARs.
However, I would note, more of his effort seems to have gone into his Bio Analytics company in the last few years. The most recent Intacct signings were Tendras Business Advisors of Southfield, Mich., and AccessTek of Chicago. The last issue mentioned Intacct hadn’t nabbed top VARs. By top, I didn’t mean the big firms. I meant organizations like Arxis Technology, which went with SAP’s Business By Design instead of Intacct. And I obviously place Nexvue in that not giant, but high-quality category. The Macdonald-Burch team has not been able to get the quick signup of VARs particularly from the Sage world that they got in 2008 when both were at Deltek. And many of the Sage dealers that went to Deltek are out of that world. They’ll probably get there. It’s just going to take longer.
