TWO DYNAMICS RESELLERS COMBINE
InterDyn BMI (Business MicroVar) and InterDyn Progressive Group, two Dynamics GP resellers, have announced they are combining as InterDyn BMI. And if that’s a sign of things to come, we’re going to see not just small resellers consolidating, but regional businesses as well. The two together are $12 million with BMI having contributed $8.5 million and Progressive $3.6 million. There was a period when BMI routinely topped $10 million a year.
Bryan Wilton, the owner of Houston-based Progressive Group, says he and BMI owner John Hendrickson have not worked out titles yet, but Wilton will do some sales and will be the company’s liaison with Microsoft. In looking at the selection of Inner Circle and President’s Club members, the fact that neither of these companies made either group has me thinking that recognition and size go increasingly together. BMI has been on these lists in the past. But this year only InterDyn AKA, which has been a worldwide partner winner, was on the Inner Circle and it and InterDyn Artis were the only two group members in the President’s Club. One notable absense from the President's Club was InterDyn Socius, which had made the Microsoft President's Club and Sage President's Circle, in each of three years, the only company to do that any year.
