Infor is doing more than just buying companies. This week it announced it plans to hire about 400 software developers to expand its engineering organization. The privately held company attributed the investment to great third quarter results, which it said included 17-percent license growth and cash operating margins of 24 percent. It also added 400 net new customers during the quarter. Recruitment was to begin immediately with the expansion expected to be completed by year’s end. Additional development efforts are being made in all product areas.
