VENDORS FLOCK TO AZURE

Microsoft may not be doing anything to bring its own ERP systems to the cloud (that it's talking about), but WPC was replete with hardware and software vendors that are utilizing its Windows Azure platform. It was odd that Microsoft used its conference to announce cloud-based platforms from Infor, its Infor24 line for expense management, asset management and ERP that Infor says are available now.
Infor also said it is developing its next generation product for 2011 in the Windows Azure environment, that will include an enhanced version of Infor24 Expense Management. Infor products will be delivered from Azure data centers and will be optimized to run under Azure technologies, including Azure SQL. Microsoft also rolled out cloud computing announcements involving Hewlett-Packard, Dell, Fujitsu  and eBay
