SAGE LOSES FOUR IN CRM SALES

Jeff GregorecThe Sage CRM sale management team is getting a face lift with the departure of a vice president and three directors. Gone are VP Jeff Gregorec, senior director Seth Ellertson, and directors Jeffrey Woods and Robert Fierros.

In announcing the departures, Pascal Houillon, CEO of Sage North America, said VP Donna Armstrong would lead the CRM effort while the company searches for replacements. Gregorec had worked at Sage starting in April 2007. This looks different than September exodus by Pascal Van Dooren and Rob Johnson, two channel execs, who had jobs at Avalara when they took off. These folks apparently are pursuing other, unknown opportunities with their sudden exits. This is the kind of change that Sage makes at the end of a fiscal year, and its year closed on September 30. Last week's announcement that Sage is ending the reselling program for Simply Accounting also falls into that category. With the sale of Sage Healthcare, it's also clear that the company is willing to make wide-scale changes and I'd bet more are likely.
