DYNAMICS COMMUNITY MADE OVER

microsoft dynamics logo

The Dynamics community website has been refreshed with what Microsoft says is a “refined user experience, more useful content and navigation on home pages, and recommended content when reading blog articles and forum posts. This is merely MakeOver v. 1.0 as the community team said there will be releases throughout the year.

Improvements are said to include better layout, easier-to-read-text and “generally more focus placed on content.” I suppose that would involve better and more up-to-date content, always a challenge for these kinds of pages. Instead of having all forums shown on the opening page, the list is available via a “Browse All Forums” button. That way, it’s not immediately obvious that some forums aren’t very active. And similarly, blogs are no longer listed on the page and there is a browse button for them also. My suggestion for improvement would be to have the Executive Insights blog actually provide thought-provoking discussion of issues instead of just being another place for market puffery, except from somebody important.
