NET@WORK OPENS CHICAGO OFFICE

Alex Solomon, Net@WorkNet@Work, which was unsuccessful in trying to buy Hightower, has opened an office in Chicago. The New York City-based Sage reseller has been vying with Blytheco to be the biggest VAR in the Sage channel and when Chicago-area Hightower shut its doors earlier this year, Net@Work tried to buy the remains.
However, SWK Technologies of Livingston, N.J., won the bidding war. Net@Work co-president Alex Solomon said his company has had success serving manufacturers and that experience would help it serve the Chicago area's large base of manufacturing companies. Net@Work already had a presence in Wisconsin and Michigan and plans to expand in the Midwest via strategic acquisitions and partnerships. Net@Work sells Sage 100, 300 and 500, along with Sage CRM, SalesLogix and HRMS.
