SEVEN LICENSES TYPICAL IN QBES SALES

Dan Wernikoff, IntuitThe typical QuickBooks Enterprise sale includes seven licenses, according to Dan Wernikoff, SVP and GM of Intuit's Financial Management Division. That was one of the few tidbits about QBES delivered at this week’s Intuit Investor Day.
But it is something that has not been made public before, at least not widely. Wernikoff mentioned the statistic in contrasting the growth of QuickBooks Online and QBES against the traditional QB desktop unit. A sale of QB Pro is typically as single license, and QB Online is three licenses. Beyond that, QB Online and QBES have grown about three times the level of 2009, despite the fact that overall, QB units are flat over the last three years. QBES had 64,000 active users when Intuit's fiscal year ended July 31, up 18.5 percent from the end of 2011. And QBES sales appear to be accelerating as the growth in units from Q3 to Q4 2012 outstripped every other sequential quarter change in the last three years. Intuit has not volunteered information on what the recent increase was so strong.
