DELTEK EXEC PAY DOWN SHARPLY

Kevin ParkerWith no bonuses for the last two years and equity awards slashed, compensation for three top executives at Deltek dropped sharply for 2009. That's shown in the proxy filed recently with the SEC. Deltek CEO Kevin Parker had $1.58 million in total compensation, a drop of 31.6 percent from $2.3 million in 2008. The big change came in equity awards with Parker earning $588,000 from that source last year, compared to $1.42 million the year before, a decline of 58.6 percent.

Richard Lowrey, EVP of engineering, had $617,932 in total income, off 35.2 percent from $932,608 in 2008. Carolyn Parent, EVP of worldwide sales, made $684,876 for the most recently ended year, down 28.8 percent from $960,930 in 2008. The company also reported 2009 compensation of $445,540 for Mark Wabshall, who resigned as CFO in July. That was down more than 50 percent from $966,627. SVP and corporate contro.ler Michael Krone received $698,631 in 2009 compensation, including a $10,000 bonus for his services while the company sought a replacement for Wabschall. His successor, Michael Corkery, joined Deltek on January 5.
