INFOR TO SPEED IMPLEMENTATION
Saying its rapid implementation system will be unlike those from other vendors, Infor has announced Infor Express. The company modestly calls it a new breed of business application, which combines functions from its product portfolio into single, pre-configured system and which customers can implement in as little as 90 days. First out of the gate is Infor Express Projects for project-based manufacturers. Infor says a subscription-based learning program, which features hundreds of short, web-based videos, makes possible a self-paced timeframe for users.
The first Express package is designed to provide project monitoring and change management as well as enable fast, accurate project bidding. Anyone else notice that since Taylor Macdonald left Infor early in the year, after helping recruit an undisclosed number of channel members, that there has been no channel news from Infor and that the company has not disclosed the names of businesses that Macdonald enlisted. Nothing in the press release announcing the Express line suggests the channel would be involved in this line.
