SWK BUYS TEXAS SAGE BIZ

 Jeff Roth, SWK TechnologiesSWK Technologies of Livingston, N.J., has acquired the Sage accounts of Dallas-based Point Solutions. This is SWK’s first move into Texas and the company said it has retained “several key personnel.” We can expect more as in a prepared statement, SWK CEO Jeff Roth noted that “Our goal has always been to create a national footprint with regional offices for our Sage ERP practice; this was a logical next step to help us achieve that goal.” I believe SWK is not in the South or the Pacific Northwest, yet.

Point markets the Fusion Retail System that integrates with Sage 100, 500 and Acumatica. Point's Mike Gill says the Fusion business has doubled its user count in the last 18 months and the company wants to concentrate on its ISV business. Point also sells the Acumatica line and it appears it is staying in that business.
