INFOR GETS ORACLE VP FOR ION
Infor should probably be known as Oracle East given the depth of its executive staff that has left Larry Ellison’s empire. The company, headed by CEO Charles Phillips, an Oracle alum, hired Steve Moroski as SVP of Platform Technologies. Platform in this case means ION, which Infor calls an integration framework and also its fastest-growing and top-selling product.
Moroski joined Oracle in 2003 as a field sales rep and by 2007 he was an area VP, a position he held until October 2011. He moved into the spot of Group VP North America that same month and served in that job until December. Although Infor just announced the hire, his LinkedIn page showed he assumed his new position in January. From the Oracle crowd, co-presidents Stephen Scholl and Duncan Angove worked at Oracle.
