Dan Patterson, AcumenDeltek has acquired Acumen, an Austin, Texas-based company that markets project management software and services. Terms were not disclosed. Acumen CEO Dan Patterson will be VP of product strategy under  Namita Dhallan, EVP of product strategy and engineering.

The 15-member Acumen team will remain in the Austin office. Acumen's products include Acumen Fuse, a schedule diagnostics tool; Risk, which performs  Monte Carlo risk analysis on costs and scheduling; and Acumen 360, which helps accelerate project time frames.
