SAGE CHANNEL DIRECTOR GONE Featured

Joe Carroll, former Sage channel directorJoe Carroll, senior director of channel management, has left the job he held at Sage North America from April 2012 through last month. His LinkedIn page showed his career there ended after what he described as working with "the largest partner organizations to set and achieve growth goals for Sage products."

Carroll was previously senior director of channel marketing with Sage from February 2010 through March 2012. He came to Sage from Valogix where he was director of channel enablement from December 2007. Carroll held a position in global business development with SAP from February 2004 through November 2007. Before that, he had a long career at Microsoft and the former Great Plains software. He was manager of channel recruiting and development at Microsoft from April 2001 through January 2004 having joined that company with its purchase of Great Plains, where he was in channel development and where he worked from 1988 through 2001. Carroll was brought in by former Sage channel VP Tom Miller, who worked at Great Plains. It's not surprising to see personnel changes in October. The parent Sage Group ends its fiscal year on September 30 and things tend to happen after that.
