Six S Partners, based in Waterloo, Ontario, got the nod for Most New Business Transactions while Westfield, Mass.-based EpicCenter won as Top Solutions Partner – and gets my nod for actually show pictures of its staff and providing bio sketches. Data Tecnologia, which has offices in Bogota, Columbia, and San Jose, Costa Rica, was the winner for Largest Transaction. Cre8tive Technology & Design of San Diego, Calif., was the Top Revenue Producer. These companies have one thing in common- none of the carry another financial software package. I don't know if this means that specialists do better or companies that aren't faithful to Epicor get shut out of awards. Another word about PR: black and white mug shots look awful on LinkedIn and they lack of color makes them look like police mug shots.

EC SOLUTIONS TOP EPICOR AMERICAS VAR Featured
EC Solutions was chosen Top Reseller Partner for Epicor in the Americas. The Laval, Quebec-based organization was founded in 2004 and is a fairly typical VAR in that its web page says nothing about the people who run it. But a couple of Google searches show that André Paquet, VP of sales and marketing, is one of the co-owners. (Violating one of Taylor Macdonald's prime directives which is that VARs are selling themselves, not the product. But they seem to be doing well).
