RANDOM THOUGHTS: THE MUPPETS

Miss PiggyOne of the most important questions of our day is "Can science cure the common Kardashian?" And speaking of America's No. 1 family, there were recent pictures of the Kardashian half-sister, Kylie Jenner, in a bikini. The average reaction was less "What a hot babe" than "OMG, there's more of them." .... Somebody on Twitter named me as a "Cool Journalist" in a couple of categories two weeks ago. This week, he upped that to "Super Journalist."

I see also as a "Magnificent Journalist" ranking. I'm aspiring to the top level of "Saintly Journalist". ... Microsoft, which vehemently protested spying by the government, now admits it spied via Hotmail. I guess this year will probably be the launch of the new Office NSA edition. Besides the usual commands such as "Save" and "Delete", it will also have "Record" and "Destroy". .... It's been a hard enough winter in the north I've seen flocks of birds heading back south. Scientists think the unusual calls they made represent something like "Forget this. Try again next year." ... I just figured out the problem with Vladimir Putin. Russia did so well in the Olympics, he thought there was a new contest in taking over other countries. ... Ever year at this time, millions pause for an annual sacred rite that celebrates our most basic values. But enough about the NCAA basketball tourney. Of course, there's also Passover and Easter. ... Capitalizing on two major movie genres, a new film "The Muppets in the Land of the Undead" debuts this summer. It ends with a pivotal scene in which Miss Piggie sighs, "Oh, Kermie. Ahhhhhhhhhh!". We also learn that Cookie Monster was always a secret member of the Walking Dead. "Cookie. Cookie." And Ernie screams, "Bert, that fence won't hold forever. We have to stop them."
