FINANCIAL EDGE NXT AVAILABLE Featured

Mike Gianoni, Blackbaud Financial Edge NXT, the cloud version of its accounting line, has been made generally available by Blackbaud. The Charleston, S.C.-based nonprofit software company says there are 100 NFP customers already live on the system. The new accounting software package is the second product released in the NXT line—the first was the Raiser's Edge NXT, the cloud version of the Blackbaud fundraising line. FE NXT provides fund accounting with modules that include general ledger, projects, grants, endowments, accounts payable and receivable, fixed assets and banking.

The system offers real-time reporting, which Blackbaud describes as offering one-click drill-down and easy export. It also features grant and project accounting. When results for the second quarter ended June 30 in late July, CEO Mike Gianoni said the company had sold 1,000 units of Raiser's Edge NXT and Financial Edge NXT. Along with moving to the cloud, Blackbaud has spent the last three years moving to subscription pricing for its desktop products.
