BAASS BUYS CA-PLUS

Joseph Arnone, Baass Business SolutionsSage reseller BAASS Business Solutions has acquired CA-Plus. Both organizations are Sage 300 dealers and both are Canadian organizations. BAASS is based in Toronto and CA-Plus in Toronto and Edmonton. BAASS president Joseph Arnone said the deal lets his company "strengthen our Sage X3 portfolio, enhance our team of Sage 300 consultants and technical resources, and expand our operations west with the establishment of an Edmonton, Alberta office.”

MENTER, HOAD, ENDERS, BAKER EXIT BLYTHECO

Ruth Menter, BlythecoRuth Menter and Nicholas Hoad, who joined Blytheco with its purchase of the former Macdonald Consulting, have left the top Sage reseller. Owner Steve Blythe said he purchased the minority shares held by the two and also shares held by VPs Judy Enders and Tim Baker who have also left. All are available to help with the transition. EPICOR RETOOLING RETAIL OPS

Paul Salsgiver, EpicorEpicor Software is reorganizing its retail software unit, a process that is expected to be completed by June. What that means was not spelled out in a recent filing with the SEC. The only other statement in the filing was that  Paul Salsgiver EVP for the Retail Software unit "will no longer meet the requirements for executive officer as defined by the SEC."

U.K.’S M-HANCE JOINS PARTNER POWER

Andrew Hayward, M-HanceM-Hance, a Dynamics reseller, has joined Partner Power International as the organization’s exclusive representative in the United Kingdom. Partner Power has several members in the United States. These are Sikich, Ibis, Business Management International, PFK-Texas and Western Computer. Membership is designed to help resellers that have clients with offices in multiple regions. Andrew Hayward, managing director of M-Hance described his organization’s client base as growing rapidly. A major reason for that was in November 2011 it consolidated seven reselling organizations in the British Isles.
