QAD CEO KARL LOPKER DIES

Karl Lopker, CEOKarl Lopker, CEO of manufacturing software company QAD, has died at the age of 66. Lopker,died on August 25. He joined QAD 39 years ago. The company was founded in 1979 by his wife Pam, who serves as president.

MYOB ADVANCED SITES UP 57 PERCENT

Tim Reed, MYOBMYOB’s Enterprise business showed a double-digit increase in organic revenue and an 11 percent increase in recurring revenue for the first half ended March 31, the company reported last week. The Australia-based software company, said that its MYOB Advanced comprised “almost 60 percent of our sales in ERP software” in the recently ended half .

COLUMBUS U.S BIZ OFF 22 PERCENT

Thomas Honoré, ColumbusRevenue for Columbus in the United States was down by 22 percent for the first half ended June 31; 13 percent in American currency.  Revenue for the most recently ended period was about $28.5 million with the decline continuing weakness in this country, Columbus reported last week.
