Mark Humphlett, InforInfor has introduced Factory Track, a manufacturing process automation application. Cloud-based, it has flexible deployment options and what Infor says is a lower total cost of ownership. Developed  using the Infor Mongoose rapid application development platform, the product is said to enable more configurability and ease  of enhancements along with a consumer grade user experience on such things as shop floor kiosks and handheld barcode scanners.

The product’s three modules include Warehouse Mobility, a real-time inventory management application; Time Track, which collects labor time and attendance and feeds payroll applications; and Shop Floor, which automates production schedule execution dispatch operations and work center operations. Mark Humphlett, director of industry and solution strategy, says Factory Track bridges the “inherent gap between planning systems and their ability to execute when it comes to automation of shop floor and warehouse business processes"
