ORACLE PLANNING ADDED TO NETSUITE Featured

Maynard Jason with greenThe Oracle Planning and Budgeting Cloud has been added to NetSuite. The new SuiteSuccess for Planning and Budgeting Cloud Services was introduced at this week’s Oracle NetSuite SuiteWorld.

Tailoring these capabilities to different market segments is a key part of the product strategy.  A software company has the need for very different KPIs than does a retail company, according to Jason Maynard, SVP of global field operations, who made his comments during a briefing before the conference. Maynard said the company would deliver a starter edition designed to “get companies off those nasty spreadsheets.” In the press release, this was translated as supporting “all market segments with starter editions and extended capabilities for larger organizations.” PBCS features include forecasting through what-if scenarios via ad-hoc scenario modeling, sandbox and predictive features; collaboration across the enterprise or within specific groups; planning models which can be used for a specific line or business or through the creation of unified models; and navigation that can be tailored for groups of users.
