The importance of that space in the product line was illustrated this week when Steve Blythe, owner of Blytheco was asked why he was taking on Acumatica. He cited the need for filling out the product line. "I don't have any assurance that it will be filled," Blythe said during the week's Sage Summit conference. Kelly's answer was essentially pronged. "Sage Live is a brilliant product for professional and financial services. While Sage Live will scale up to fit more of the mid-market, he noted, "We will look at acquisitions." It appears to be more a matter of expanding functions through vertical applications that will work with the existing products than of buying another application for the gap.Last modified on Friday, 12 May 2017
