The Enterprise event represented the channel for Enterprise Management (formerly X-3) and together EM and Intacct are what one reseller called the company’s “only real cloud products." The events have increasingly focused on educating VARs, according to Taylor Macdonald, Intacct’s VP of channels, and Scott Ehmen, VP of partner strategy and sales for Sage North America. Macdonald says the two events “have become less about product and more about product teaching partners about how to run their business.” The necessary education, both say, include resellers having more resources dedicated to sales and marketing. Hasn’t it been like that for a few decades? The thought occurs that if the two major cloud product conferences merge, won't we see mergers in other areas of the channel program?Last modified on Friday, 03 May 2019
