News and Analysis
has said it plans to grow its channel. And this week, LinkedIn users may have noticed that the company is advertising on the social media site under the headline “Channel partners required.” That phrase links to an Infor web page that proclaims “Infor Partner Network: Business Beyond Boundaries.”
There does not appear to have been much important news released since the company launched a worldwide recruitment effort in early October. I did watch the corporate overview video provided on the page which provides a quick explanation of Infor10, the company’s platform to tie together the wide array of products that have come its way through acquisitions. One message is that Ion fills the need for software that meets customer needs out-of-the box without modifications. A channel-specific video message is presented by Jeff Abbott, VP of global alliance and channels, that is devoted to listing web-based resources. These include information on marketing, among other topics. It has “everything we designed to get you off to a great start,” Abbott says. For more advanced channel members, there is a sales portal and finally the Infor NetWork Partner Portal, which Abbott describes as a "one-stop shop for all the assets we are providing our partners."
