In the meantime, the U.S. men’s team was watching to see what it’s like to play in an international tournament. “The U.S. has a men’s soccer team?” my daughter asked. … The latest “Men In Black” movie was almost not made after ICE agents broke up filming after they heard reports of undocumented aliens on the set. …  After Golden States Warriors’ star Kevin Durant ruptured his Achilles tendon during an NBA playoff game, the person most reporters would like to interview is the team doctor who said, “Oh sure, your leg has healed. You can return to the game; no problem.” … While the Women’s World Cup and the NBA finals were going on, Americans were also on the edge of their seats for news from the Cricket World Cup, which began May 31 and ends on July 14. Actually, most Americans, not born in a British Commonwealth country, are unaware that Cricket is a competitive sport. “What’s wicket and what makes it sticky?” Is probably the main questions most non-cricket fans have.
