Cloud software vendor Xero has entered an alliance with tax chain, H&R Block. But as important as the alliance is for Xero it hints at a trend in which SaaS accounting vendors seek to separate themselves from the crowd. To compete with QuickBooks Online, they need resources. The first move in this area came when Paychex agreed to market Kashoo's accounting software product.
