Nonprofit software vendor Blackbaud turned in a good performance for the second quarter ended June 30. The Charleston, S.C.-based company said net income rose to $11.2 million in the most recently ended period, an increase of 23.2 percent over $9.1 million a year earlier.

Edgewater Technology hopes that the current period is the pause that refreshes. As the company has reorganized its consulting operations, it intends that increased marketing and sales efforts will boost grow in its three business units.

Infor has announced Networked CloudSuites. The company detailed plans at this week's Inforum conference, saying the suites will come to market during the second half of the year.
