The problems with fires started by overheated batteries in the Samsung Galaxy 7 have gotten out of hand with replacement batteries now catching fire. It's so bad that when I took out my Galaxy at the airport, two TSA guards seized me and wrestled me to the ground. To make matters worse, I paid for the device from my secret Wells Fargo account while I was driving around in my VW diesel wagon.

Retail software vendor Aptos has acquired BT Expdeite, which had been the exclusive Aptos reseller in Europe. The deal includes Clienteling, an application resold by Aptos in North America; a retail learning management system; the Mercatus merchandising platform; and an eCommerce platform, FrescaCommerce.

CPA firm Sikich is continuing its expansion by the purchase of midmarket resellers. The company is following up its acquisition of Boston, Mass.-based Altico Advisors in August 2015 and BCG & Co., Akron, Ohio, in April, with its plan to acquire Glendale, Calif.-based SCS, a Dynamics NAV reseller.
