Sovos has hired Ruth Fornell to the newly created position of chief operations officer.  In the new position, Fornell will lead the tax software company’s regional teams.

Avalara registered a 30.9-percent increase in revenue for the year ended December 31 with sales rising 34.5 percent for the fourth quarter.  Meanwhile, its loss fell 2 percent for the compared periods.

 Blackbaud expects that a combination of  modest growth in recurring growth and a drop in one-time services will hold down sales for 2021. The nonprofit software company said during its recent webcast for earnings for the year ended December that it expects 2021 revenue of about $900 million, down from last year and about even with 2019.
