RoseASP is seeking opinions from the Microsoft channel about Dynamics 365, essentially Dynamics NAV online. CEO Linda Rose says the effort, via an online survey, is designed to provide "the questions no one else is asking but yet everyone is thinking about." Previewed during July and expected to be available in the fall, Dynamics 365 is Microsoft's most ambitious effort in the cloud yet.

Xero has revamped its certification program for accountants and bookkeepers. The new effort, which will be released at the end of next month, departs from the usual approach in that there is no final test. "We have revamped all of our education to be story-based," says Amy Vetter, Xero's global VP of education and head of accounting.

Tom Major has joined Clearpointe, a Little Rock, Ark.-based managed service provider as CFO. Major moved this month from reseller Interdyn BMI where he was an SVP and worked from July 2012 through July. Before joining BMI, he was CEO and owner of Reach Solutions a Dynamics partner in Arkansas from December 1995 through June 2012. ClearPointe is headed by CEO and co-founder Jeff Johnson, whose managed services offering is described as designed for small and mid-size companies.
