Xero has reached an agreement to jointly market products worldwide with Vend, which markets POS, inventory and customer management systems for the retail market. The companies first integrated their cloud-based applications in 2010 and have joint customers in New Zealand and Australia. Now, the partners plan to penetrate other markets, including the United Kingdom and United States.

Deltek has acquired Union Square Software, which makes project information and collaboration software built for the architecture, engineering and construction industry. Terms were not announced. Based in Nottingham, England, Union Square has customers in EMEA, Australia and Canada, but not many in the United States.

Software giant Infor has dipped to its past to hire a CFO. The company has named Kevin Samuelson to the post he held from October 2011 through February 2013 after serving with the company since 2002. He replaces Jeffry Laborde whose tenure lasted from June 2015 through July 12 this year.
